BluHaven Health is a new medication delivery clinic focused on the administration of intravenous and injectable medications. We work with local medical providers to help their patients receive the medications that are not administered in their offices. We primarily administer specialty medications that are used to treat complex, chronic conditions. BluHaven’s clinic is designed to provide a comforting, relaxing environment for patients as an alternative to the crowded, less comfortable infusion centers located in hospitals.

Job Description

BluHaven Health is looking to hire a nurse practitioner with an entrepreneurial spirit to manage and operate our clinic. The nurse practitioner will be the senior medical professional onsite, supervised by a medical director who is offsite. They will be responsible for delivering infusions and injections to patients that have been prescribed by those patients’ other medical specialists. Clinical protocols and administration standards will be provided for the nurse practitioner and approved by the medical director. The nurse practitioner will also be responsible for monitoring patients during infusions and maintaining accurate electronic medical records. For patient care, the nurse practitioner must be able to provide clear education and instructions regarding infusion protocol as well as establishing and maintaining a positive, relaxing, and professional environment.

Responsibilities

● Oversight of day-to-day clinical operations

● Drug reconstitution

● IV placement and administration

● SQ/IM injection

● Monitoring patients during administration (vitals, adverse effects)

● Electronic charting

● Managing patient’s plan of treatment (consultation, goal setting, evaluation of progress

● Ordering and tracking inventory

● Ensuring insurance authorization of medications has been obtained before administration

● Monthly quality assurance review with medical director

● Remain up-to-date on new infusions and company policies

● Establish relationships and communicate with local medical providers

Qualifications

● Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (Nurse Practitioner)

● BLS/ACLS certification

● Infusion experience

● Ability to work independently

● Ability to manage others and delegate

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
